How to travel to Hvar
The wonderful island of Hvar can be fast and easily reached from all parts of Europe. Since the new and fantastic Trans - Croatia - Highway "Dalmatina" is in full operation, it is much easier to travel by car to Split, the capital of Dalmatia. From here are operating car-ferries several times a day to Stari Grad, the main port of the island of Hvar. A few times a week, there is also a direct coastal- night-ferry from Rijeka to Stari Grad, wich makes the trip even more comfortable in approx. 400kn less driving.
Coming by plane
is just an easy. Owners of small private aircrafts fin a "rustique"airfield on the island. For all the others are existing daily direct flights to Split from most major European cities. Using charter - or low-cost-companies makes the trip a fortune. There is a scheduled bus- service from Split Airport to the ferry-harbour. From there ferry takes you to Stari Grad.
From stressful and hectic airport environment to deck chair along the pool with smell and sounds of nature for just 30 minutes.
